Goldwell Color Colab

On September 30, colour creativity hit new heights at the iconic Kao Salon Academy in Sydney with the launch of our first-ever Goldwell Color Collab event – an exciting and dynamic gathering of colourists, for colourists. Designed as the ultimate playground for colour creatives, this one-day extravaganza brought together our Australian Global Creative Awards 2024 Gold Winners and selected Goldwell colourists for a day of bold inspiration, creative freedom, and content creation.
At the heart of this vibrant event were the Goldwell Colour Support team, lending their expertise and mentorship to colourists who worked alongside talented make-up artists (@claudiacasaceli_mua, @mariarivera_mua and @melricciomakeup) , Fashion Stylists (@emma_cotterill) photographers ( @andresmarinphotography) @jarredstedman for @mochahairaustralia). Stylists were tasked with creating jaw-dropping looks on their own models, all while Kao Salon Academy provided the colour, styling support, and mentorship needed to push the boundaries of creativity.
But this was more than just another creative day out – this was about celebrating each individual colourist’s unique flair and styling expertise. With a focus on social media, colourists were encouraged to capture their vibrant creations in ways not seen before. Working with interactive Instagram-worthy sets, models, and playful props, each stylist showcased their skills, with every frame, every hue, telling a new colour story.
Attendees didn’t just learn from the best – they became the best, seizing the opportunity to collaborate, create, and share their passion for colour. For many, it was a day of pure creative freedom, where colourists were given full artistic license to unleash their talents.
A curated selection of approximately 20 Goldwell colourists/stylists from across Australia gathered to work their magic on 14 models, collaborating solo or in pairs to create their masterpieces. The event’s energy was electric, with the day’s focus firmly on content creation – a rare opportunity for both Goldwell and the attending stylists to generate social media magic, filling feeds with unparalleled colour content.
Among the attendees was Jarred Stedman, GM of Mocha Group, who was on hand throughout the day, capturing every moment and shooting editorial looks. From interviews with the artists with a bright green wig (which he stole off his wife) to celebrate the bright colour creativity , to before and after shots of the models, Jarred’s content—photos, Instagram stories, and reels—will soon light up @mochahairaustralia, showcasing the raw energy, creativity, and joy of the event. He played with the props and backdrops created to make each stylist’s vision pop, ensuring the content will resonate with both industry insiders and colour enthusiasts.
Amongst the excitement, and in the spirt of creativity that has no bounds, the Goldwell team also had a:

- Mocktail station (thanks to @creativityproject) to keep everyone hydrated and feeling fancy,

Whether you were among the exclusive colourists in the Kao Salon Academy or simply tuned in via social media, this was an event that was definitely a FUN TIME. The Goldwell Color Collab was truly a celebration of limitless creativity, colour mastery, and social media brilliance – an unforgettable day that will leave its mark across digital platforms for weeks to come.
