Established in 2000 by industry icon and renowned educator Scott Sloan, Sloans is one of the nation’s most awarded hair establishments which includes being named AHIA NSW/ACT Salon of the Year 2024, and AHIA Creative Team of the Year 2023
Scott is supported by a dynamic team of hairdressers who bring a trend-led yet totally timeless approach to the salon floor. These highly skilled and diverse individuals provide the ultimate hair fashion experience, ensuring every client’s hair is always a step ahead and styled perfectly.
While most often happily ensconced with the team in Sloans’ stunning salon space, Scott is also regularly called upon to create cutting edge fashion looks around the world. He has worked alongside icons including Guido Paolo and Sam McKnight at London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks for Fendi, Prada, Chanel, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Valentino, Versace, Miu Miu and The Row.
Scott’s signature aesthetic of creative yet commercial styling, precision cutting and maximum wearability has also led to him being called upon to comment on all things hair. Providing expertise for publications Beauty Crew, Body+Soul, Daily Telegraph, Marie Claire and Beautyheaven through to MochaHair (HAIR BIZ), INSTYLE and The Journal, Scott is a go-to for those in the know. One of Scott’s most high profile moments involved creating Julie Bishop’s iconic ‘revenge hair’ which was plastered across The Australian, Sydney Confidential, Daily Mail, Sky News and SMH.
Over the past 25 years countless local hairdressers have also experienced a touch of the Sloans magic with Scott becoming one of the industry’s most popular and respected educators for L’Oreal Professionnel. He has travelled as far afield as Kuala Lumpur, Vietnam, Singapore, Dubai and India hosting week-long seminars, workshops and hair shows for audiences of over 2,000 participants.
But these exciting career highlights have also been passed onto the Sloans team with Scott the ultimate mentor. Their work has featured across local media as well as fashion publications including Men In This Town, Fen Hong Se, Doing Bird and Schon! Magazine, they have stood alongside him at fashion shows from Melbourne to Milan as well as assisted with shoots, workshops and campaigns.
Kicking off celebrations with a brand new website and competition giving 25 lucky North Shore mums a complete hair makeover, the team is feeling incredibly grateful for the journey so far and excited to continue the Sloans experience for many years to come.
