AUSTRALIA’S MOST EXCITING NEXT-GEN HAIRDRESSING TALENT WINNERS NAMED FOR 2024 CURATE AWARDS

The first ever winners of the 2024 CURATE Awards have been announced by this unique competition platform which was created to discover and celebrate Australia’s freshest urban and regional Apprentice talent through the delivery of exciting hair vision and creativity.

The CURATE Awards 2024 Winners are:

With 45 entries in this inaugural year, the local and international judging panel were blown away by these incredible talents. For this digital competition, Apprentices were each able to shine through the creation and editing of a two-minute video to showcase their cutting, colouring and styling skills.

Envisioned by Brisbane hairdressing icon and reigning AHIA Creative Australian Hairdresser of the Year 2023 Justin Pace, he was thrilled to honour these winners; “There was such a high calibre of entries, particularly for the first ever year of a brand new industry competition. These four worthy winners are all testament to the up and coming talent that we have in Australia and I can’t wait to watch them go on the CURATE adventure. They are the first to show all our apprentices that this platform can become an integral part of every hairdresser’s career journey.”

Winners will now head to Sydney for mentoring and a full-day photo shoot workshop with Justin followed by Hair Festival and the AHIA Creative Awards Gala. Winners will also receive a VIP Excellent Edges experience including personalised scissor kits, a selection of electrical tools from Gamma +, PLUS a L’Oréal Access education package, Sustainable Salons goodie bag, coverage in HAIRBIZ magazine and across Mocha Hair digital platforms and a professional biography created in conjunction with Lily Blue Communications.

A big thank you to CURATE’s collaborators and judges who are championing the next-gen of the industry.
