Hairhouse is thrilled to announce that it has won GOLD in the Flagships and Showroom Category at the 2025 Australian Design Awards and SILVER at the 2025 Global Design Awards, part of the prestigious Better Future Awards. This award recognizes the groundbreaking new flagship store concept at Chadstone, Melbourne, which is setting a new standard for professional haircare, salon services, and piercing in Australia.
This achievement marks a pivotal moment for Hairhouse as the company is also nominated and elevated to the World Design Awards, further cementing its place on the global design stage. “We are beyond excited and proud of this recognition,” said Michael O’Connell, COO of Hairhouse. “Our flagship store at Chadstone is not just a retail space, but an immersive, customer-centric experience. The Chadstone flagship store represents the culmination of extensive research, customer journey mapping, and design innovation. The new space is an experiential retail environment that combines cutting-edge design with a focus on customer education and brand loyalty. Through a collaboration with X+O Pty Ltd, Hairhouse has transformed the shopping experience by creating distinct zones within the store, each designed to cater to specific customer needs. These zones include a Styling Bar, Conscious Hair Care, Hair Health Bar, Piercing Zones, and a Kerastase by L’Oréal Hair Studio, each meticulously designed with bespoke fixtures, finishes, and color palettes to enhance the customer journey.
The new store concept not only elevates the shopping experience but also reflects Hairhouse’s commitment to sustainability. The store’s design features low-VOC paints, energy-efficient lighting, and HVAC systems, with careful consideration given to material selection to ensure longevity and reduced environmental impact.
The transformation at Chadstone is just the beginning.
