WA IHS State Hairdressing Championships & Lord of the Barbers

Lord of the Barbers took center stage at the WA IHS 2024 Annual State Hairdressing Championships, attracting a fantastic turnout. The competition saw 25 entries across 5 live categories for Lord of the Barbers, while the WA IHS State Hairdressing Championships featured 44 entries across 7 categories, showcasing a mix of live and pre-done works.

With a stand-out record of 67 Photographic entries in the apprentice Photographic session a new category WAIHS has created since the Pandemic as a FREE entry category for WA apprentices to encourage entries and attendance from the youth of the industry and get the upcoming emerging stylists involved and inspired.

This was a new record of entries in one category for WA IHS. The day was bustling with energy at the WA Italian Club drawing a crowd of almost 200 in attendance, Paula Hibbard kept the energy up as the MC for the day. Of course, this wouldn’t have come together without the ongoing work of the volunteer committee members.
