L’OREAL PROFESSIONNEL WELCOMES THEIR NEW EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY MANAGER, SYMBOLISING A NEW ERA FOR THE BRAND IN 2025.

L’Oréal Professionnel is thrilled to announce the appointment of Katrina Brieschke as the new Education and Advocacy Manager.

With an extensive background of over 20 years in the hairdressing industry and a passion for empowering professionals, Katrina brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.

At the age of 15 years old, Katrina began cutting & colouring on the salon floor in her small town of Rosewood, Queensland. She then went onto completing her apprenticeship while managing a small salon, then moving overseas to Canada where her love for education truly ignited. While living in a small village in the Arctic, Katrina taught young children the skills of hairdressing. This is where teaching and educating became not only her livelihood, but also her true passion.

In returning home, Katrina made the bold move to email her connection at L’Oreal head office, and promptly asked for a job in education. So, for the past 10 years, Katrina has been an integral part of the education team both in-field and in head office. Her ability to connect with people and share her knowledge in a relatable, inspiring manner earned her widespread recognition within the hairdressing community and amongst her peers.

In her new role as Education and Advocacy Manager at L’Oréal Professionnel, Katrina will lead the brand’s efforts to provide cutting-edge education to stylists, salon owners, and L’Oreal Pro community across ANZ.

Speaking to Katrina, she said; “My career path feels like it’s come full circle, and in the best way possible.

My L’Oréal story started as an educator – a role that truly ignited my passion for sharing knowledge and empowering others.

From there, I dove into the world of content and social media, learning how to connect and communicate in new and exciting ways.

Now, I’m absolutely thrilled to be leading the Education and Advocacy team for L’Oréal Professionnel. It feels like everything I’ve done has led me to this point.”

Katrina’s personal mission has always been to elevate hairdressers, to help them see the incredible impact they have, showing each stylist that they are so much more than “just a hairdresser”.

Katrina continued “You’re not just changing hairstyles; you’re boosting confidence, fostering connections, and making people feel their best. Now, I’m beyond excited to merge all my experiences to inspire, educate, and empower our L’Oréal Professionnel community in ways we haven’t even imagined yet.”

Katrina vows to create a space where hairdressers can learn from each other, challenge each other, and celebrate each other’s successes. Together with the brand team, Katrina promises to continue to raise the bar for the entire industry, ensuring that every L’Oréal Professionnel stylist has the skills, knowledge, and unwavering confidence to not just thrive, but to truly shine.
