Matrix, the professional haircare brand dedicated to empowering hairdressers, has announced the winners of its highly anticipated Matrix All Stars Competition 2024. The competition, themed “Turn Up the Heat!,” celebrated the artistry and passion of hairdressers across Australia and New Zealand.
Open to all levels of experience, the Matrix All Stars competition invited stylists to showcase their creativity and technical skills through a photographic or short video presentation of a single look. Entrants were challenged to craft vibrant and innovative styles using Matrix color and styling products. A panel of expert judges meticulously reviewed hundreds of submissions, ultimately narrowing it down to ten finalists from each region.
The heat was turned up further as the finalists were invited to participate in live recreation events held at L’Oréal Academies and host sites across Australia and New Zealand. These events provided finalists with a platform to showcase their skills in person and bring their winning looks to life once again, all while being surrounded by a supportive community of fellow hairdressers.
The six regional winners of the 2024 Matrix All Stars Competition are:

WA: Charleigh Garrot, Hairhouse Joondalup
SA: Rebecca Maio, Acqua Lounge Hair Studio
QLD: Emogen Pooler & Jessica James, The Barracks
NZ: Jade Scott, Jade The Alchemist
Each winner received a career-enhancing prize package valued at $7,500, including:

• Five nights accommodation
• A three-day Pro Artist experience, including a Content Creation Day
• Exclusive backstage access at Hair Festival
• One free day to explore and experience Hair Festival
The Pro Artist experience provided an invaluable opportunity for the winners to further develop their skills alongside renowned Matrix artists, gaining insights into the latest trends and techniques while networking with industry leaders. Their participation at Hair Festival, one of the biggest events in the hairdressing calendar, offered further exposure to the latest innovations and inspiration within the world of professional hair.
