MOCHA ANGELS PJ DAY RAISES $32K+ FOR TARRANT FOUNDATION.

Hair, beauty and barber professionals across Australia swapped their workwear for pyjamas, coming together for a cause that proved just how powerful an industry can be when it unites.

Mocha Angels PJ Day, in support of the Tarrant Foundation, has been hailed an incredible success, raising more than $30,000 through the generosity, creativity and community spirit of salons, clinics, barbershops, businesses and individuals across the hair, beauty and barber industries.

PJ Day invited industry professionals to head to work in their PJs, have some fun with their teams and clients, and most importantly, raise vital funds for the Tarrant Foundation.

From salon teams arriving in matching pyjamas to businesses creating their own fundraising activities, sharing the campaign across social media and encouraging clients to donate, the industry embraced the day wholeheartedly.

The result was an outstanding $30,000+ raised, demonstrating what can happen when the professional hair, beauty and barber communities rally behind a shared purpose.

For Linda Woodhead, Founder and CEO of Mocha Group, the success of the campaign was about far more than the final figure.

“I have always believed that our industries have the biggest hearts, and PJ Day once again proved it. To see hairdressers, beauty professionals, barbers, businesses, brands and their clients all getting involved was incredibly special.

“Raising more than $30,000 is an amazing achievement, but what I loved most was seeing everyone come together. There was such a sense of fun around the day, while never losing sight of why we were doing it.

The Tarrant Foundation, led by Jenni Tarrant OAM,  works to provide meaningful support to those in need, with the funds raised through PJ Day helping the Foundation continue its important work.

The campaign also highlighted the unique connection the hair, beauty and barber industries have with their local communities. Salons, clinics and barbershops are places where relationships are built every day, making them a powerful network for creating awareness, encouraging generosity and driving positive change.

More than $30,000 raised. Hundreds of PJs worn. One industry coming together for a very special cause.

Mocha Group and the Tarrant Foundation extend their heartfelt thanks to every salon, clinic, barbershop, brand, team member, client and individual who dressed up, donated, fundraised, shared and supported the campaign.

Together, the industry showed that doing good can look pretty great in pyjamas.

Clinic Closures Bring Prepaid Treatment Models Into Focus.

aglow has highlighted the importance of how aesthetic clinics and salons manage prepaid client funds, following a few recent clinic closures, with a focus on the arrangements in place for vouchers, packages and credit balances if a business closes. The company said the closures have highlighted a structural risk in parts of the beauty sector, where client money can be used to fund day-to-day operations. In those cases, clients may be left as unsecured creditors if a business closes, while operators can carry growing liabilities on their balance sheets. Two Adelaide clinics on the aglow platform, Jennifer Carly Aesthetic Medicine and Adelphè Wellness, have stepped in to support customers affected by these recent local closures, by honouring vouchers. Karl Margrain, CEO and founder of aglow, said the issue reaches beyond a single business failure. “When client money is used to fund operating cash flow, the risk can fall back on

Glovora’s New App Turns One-Time Clients Into Repeat Business.

Glovora announced the launch of its white-label patient app built for salons, aesthetic, cosmetic, spa and wellness clinics, giving clinic owners a single platform to grow loyalty, retention and predictable revenue. Most salons and clinics still grow the hard way — buying leads, sending emails that go unopened, and hoping clients rebook. Glovora replaces that with an always-on retention engine that lives on the patient’s phone. The only app brings six tools into one: memberships, rewards, automated offers, financing, push-notification deals, in-app retail and treatment sales 24/7, a simple to use client experience, all under the salon or clinic’s own name and branding. The result is fewer one-time visits and more recurring, predictable revenue, without rising ad spend. ‘Salons and Clinics are brilliant at delivering services and treatments, but growth shouldn’t depend on constantly chasing new leads. Glovora turns every visit into the start of a lasting relationship.” said Fabio

Sound Medicine.

The Ancient Wisdom Modern Wellness Is Finally Hearing. By Sam Oraya, Founder of The Day Spa. Long before sound was studied in laboratories, it was understood by the body. Across cultures and centuries, people have gathered in sacred spaces to chant, sing, pray, drum and ring bells. Sound has always been woven into ritual and healing. Our ancestors understood something essential: sound can change the way we feel. I have worked with sound, singing bowls, chimes, voice and other instruments for as long as I can remember. I have also immersed myself in spiritual sound experiences throughout the world, from sacred community and Amerta sound medicine in Bali, to Thai temples, chanting the Reiki precepts in Japan and, more recently, Mexico. Each experience has been different, yet I have repeatedly noticed the same thing: sound can reach places that words and conscious thought sometimes cannot. You do not simply hear
