O&M appoints first-ever International Editorial Director.

O&M has appointed Diane Gorgievski as its first International Editorial Director, a newly created role that reflects the brand’s continued global growth and commitment to creativity, education and innovation.

For more than 20 years, Gorgievski has travelled the world honing her craft across international Fashion Week circuits while training under Sam McKnight, Guido Palau, Luigi Murenu and Eugene Souleiman. Alongside her international session styling career, she has built KODA, with salons in Bondi and Sydney’s QVB, into one of Australia’s most distinctive salon brands.

As International Editorial Director, Gorgievski will lead O&M’s international editorial direction across Fashion Week, editorial projects, product development and talent development. Jose Bryce Smith, Founder of O&M, said the appointment comes at an important moment for the brand.

“O&M is now sold through leading hair salons in more than 20 countries, and as our global community continues to grow, it felt like the right moment to formalise our international editorial direction and expand our presence on the world’s biggest fashion stages.

“This is a brand-new role for us. We wanted someone who could shape it with care, not just step into it. Diane has the creative confidence and generosity of spirit to do exactly that, and we feel fortunate to have her.”

Diane Gorgievski said the opportunity brings together everything she is passionate about in the industry.

“What excited me most was the opportunity to bring together everything I am passionate about in our industry. Creativity, education, innovation and the development of talent. Throughout my career I have always been drawn to opportunities that push creativity forward, whether that’s behind the chair, backstage at Fashion Week, through product development or mentoring the next generation of stylists.”

She said one of the most exciting aspects of the role is the opportunity to bring global experience back to Australia.

“Some of the most valuable lessons in our industry come from collaborating with world-class creatives, working under pressure and being exposed to different perspectives. I see this role as an opportunity to bring those learnings home, to inspire our team at KODA, contribute to the wider industry and continue showcasing Australian hairdressing on the global stage.”

The Beauty Industry’s Comfort Problem.

Why playing it safe is holding clinics back! By Carly Knowles – Current ABIA Winner Best Team Training. The beauty and aesthetics industry is one of the most dynamic and fast evolving sectors we operate in, yet ironically, it is also one of the most risk averse. While technology, education, and client expectations continue to advance, many clinics remain firmly anchored in what feels familiar, comfortable, and safe. And that comfort, while understandable, is quietly holding the industry back. Comfort looks like stability, until it isn’t!! For many clinic owners, “playing it safe” means sticking with the same treatments, the same protocols, and the same messaging that worked five, ten or even more years ago. It means avoiding uncomfortable conversations with clients, steering clear of change, and hesitating to invest in education or leadership development. At first glance, this approach can look like stability. But over time, it often leads to

ProCell Therapies ANZ on Skin Regeneration

As the aesthetics industry continues shifting toward skin health, longevity, and regenerative treatment approaches, there is growing interest in technologies designed to support the skin rather than overstress it. But when Charles and Paula Krivaci first discovered ProCell Therapies in 2021, the concept was still relatively unfamiliar within the Australian market. At the time, they were operating their own clinic and searching for a treatment that would not only deliver visible results, but also offer something genuinely different from the traditional microneedling systems already dominating the industry. “We originally discovered ProCell as a clinic looking to expand our treatment range,” Charles explains. “What immediately stood out was the way ProCell penetrated the skin by stamping vertically to create clean uniform micro-channels instead of dragging or gliding across the skin like traditional microneedling. This approach supports precision, reduced downtime, and treatment consistency.” For Charles and Paula, however, it was the client
