As hairdressers face a national skills shortage, SAHBA is committed to supporting our industry through this pilot project to build your confidence and sharpen your cutting edge.

The Cutting-Edge Shift – Precision Cutting Project is designed for hairdressers who have completed their (SHB30416) Certificate III in Hairdressing. Whether you’re returning to the industry or want to secure your future, this course will equip you with the skills you need to succeed.

SAHBA is proud to partner with Clip Joint Education, a leader in hairdressing education, who will deliver this program. Together, they are focused on empowering you with the skills needed to succeed in an industry where exceptional cutting makes all the difference.

With demand for skilled hairdressers at an all-time high, this project is your opportunity to become a sought-after professional in the industry. Precision cutting is the key to your ongoing success in hairdressing, and this training will ensure you meet the expectations of your clients and employers.

COURSE DETAILS

Students will obtain two nationally accredited units from SHB40216 Certificate IV in Hairdressing:

SHBHCUT008 Design and perform creative haircuts

SHBHTLS002 Research and use hairdressing trends to advance creative work

Class time: Mondays, 9:15 am – 1:30 pm
Part-time study over 18 weeks
Start date: 13th January 2025
End date: 26th May 2025

Entry requirements: Certificate III in Hairdressing (SHB30416).

Investment: $300 course fee + $265 mannikin

This pilot project, proudly supported by the Government of South Australia and developed through a collaboration between SAHBA and Clip Joint Education, focuses on retaining and upskilling hairdressers to tackle our industry’s workforce challenges.
