The Australian Hairdressing Council (AHC) is excited to announce Fiona Beamish as its interim Chief Executive Officer, effective February 2025.
With three decades of experience, Fiona has a distinguished career in the global hair product industry, spanning Australia, Ireland, the UK, and Asia. She has also gained extensive expertise in education, training, and sales, owning and operating the national distribution of a UK-based hair brand.
Fiona’s leadership at the AHC is driven by her deep passion for the industry.
“The past decade has brought significant market shifts, highlighting the growing need for community support and connection in business,” she says.
“From the start of my career as an apprentice hairdresser, I have been driven by the combination of creativity, people skills, and practical business strategies necessary to succeed in the hairdressing industry.
Known for her ability to identify trends, streamline operations, and implement innovative solutions, Fiona has also coached businesses in the hairdressing sector, and is committed to elevating professional standards and supporting business success through education, mentorship, and strategic solutions.
“I’m thrilled to return to the AHC as CEO,” Fiona shares, reflecting on her past involvement as an AHC member and also as part of the member support team with the organisation.
“It’s exciting to lead such a passionate and dedicated community that makes this industry so special.”
Fiona’s extensive knowledge and business expertise will be pivotal in guiding the AHC’s continued growth.
