Two Powerhouse Mentors Join Forces for Business Retreats

Something big is brewing in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, and it’s not your typical business conference. Angeli of Angeli Shaw Mentoring and Cait of Iconic Coaching are combining their firepower to launch IGNITE, a luxury three-day business retreat designed to tear up the rulebook and rebuild everything from the inside out.

Running from Saturday 25th to Monday 27th April 2026 (with arrivals the Friday evening before), IGNITE brings together just 15 ambitious businesswomen in a stunning hinterland mansion for an experience that promises equal parts strategy and soul. It’s intimate by design — because real transformation doesn’t happen in a crowd.

“This isn’t where you sit in rows collecting business cards from people you’ll never call,” the pair say. “This is where you come to light your business on fire, blow up everything that’s not working, and rebuild yourself into the absolute weapon you were born to be.”

It’s a bold pitch, but Angeli and Cait have the track records to back it up. Between them, they bring years of mentoring experience across business strategy, mindset coaching, and the kind of straight-talking accountability that their clients swear by.

At IGNITE, they’re promising brain-sweating strategy sessions, breakthrough mindset work, mystery adventures designed to push limits, and a final night celebration that – in their words… “goes off.”

The retreat is fully inclusive, covering four nights of luxury accommodation, all meals, and post-retreat support including a one-on-one session with each mentor. Attendees also gain lifetime access to the IGNITE alumni community, ensuring the momentum doesn’t fade once the mansion doors close.

So who’s it for? According to Angeli and Cait, it’s for the businesswoman who’s done playing small, whether she’s running an empire from her kitchen table or leading a team from a shopfront. The common thread is hunger: a refusal to settle for mediocre and a readiness to invest like the CEO she knows she is.

With only 15 spots available, IGNITE is shaping up to be one of 2026’s most talked-about business experiences.

Salon Lane & French Beauty Academy Launch Scholarship for Emerging Beauty Entrepreneurs

Australia’s $7 billion hair and beauty industry is undergoing a structural shift, with more than 60% of professionals now operating as independent or sole operator businesses. As social media, personal branding and flexible work models lower barriers to entry, graduates are launching businesses earlier than ever, creating new opportunities, but also new challenges. While technical standards across beauty education remain high, industry data shows that business capability, not technical skill is the strongest predictor of long-term success. More than half of independent beauty businesses close within their first three years, most often due to gaps in pricing strategy, cashflow management and client retention. Fewer than one-third of graduates report feeling confident managing business fundamentals in their first year. Recognising this industry reality, Salon Lane has partnered with the French Beauty Academy to establish the Future Entrepreneur Scholarship, a program designed to support graduates not just into work, but into sustainable
