Candela, a leading global medical aesthetic device company, has appointed Advanced Skin Technology (AST) as its exclusive distributor in Australia and New Zealand. Based in the United States and established in 1970, Candela develops and manufactures medical aesthetic laser, IPL and RF microneedling technologies, focused on medical aesthetics and beauty treatments for the face and body. The portfolio includes Gentle Pro™, Glacē™, Nordlys®, Matrix™, PicoWay® and Vbeam®.
AST is trusted by more than 2,000 clinics across Australia and New Zealand and is recognised for its curated portfolio of professional skincare, industry-leading education and training programs, and reliable local support.
The agreement sees AST officially enter the medical device market, a natural evolution for the business, which is part of Device Technologies Group, one of the largest independent Healthcare Enterprises within the Asia- Pacific region, developing and delivering some of the world’s most advanced medical technologies and solutions.
The agreement broadens AST’s offering beyond professional skincare, adding medical aesthetic devices to its portfolio for the first time. It creates new opportunities for AST to support clinics across a wider range of aesthetic services and strengthen its presence in the Australian and New Zealand market.
Rachel Fergus, General Manager, Surgical & Aesthetics at Advanced Skin Technology, said: “We are proud to collaborate with Candela in delivering its globally recognised technologies to more clinics across Australia and New Zealand. This agreement reflects our ongoing commitment to seeking innovative skincare solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
