The Latest in Lash Lifting & Brow Lamination.

Meet BRIK & PEARL®

As Korean-inspired lash lifting continues to influence professional treatment rooms, lash and brow artists are looking for systems that offer greater control, versatility and support for the hair throughout the service.

Questions around processing, overprocessing, technique selection and product compatibility are becoming increasingly common. For many professionals, the challenge is no longer simply creating a strong lift. It is achieving consistent results while working confidently across different hair types and modern treatment methods.

Enter BRIK & PEARL®, a new professional lash lift and brow lamination system developed by the Elleebana family.

Created to deliver control, precision and professional performance, BRIK & PEARL® combines cosmetic chemistry with a three-step treatment system designed to restructure, stabilise and condition lashes and brows.

The system has been developed with today’s working lash and brow artist in mind, from traditional lash lifting and brow lamination through to freestyle, glueless and approved Korean-inspired techniques.

Reflecting on the development of the system, Elleebana’s Otto Mitter says the goal was to respond directly to what professionals were asking for in the treatment room.

“We listened closely to what lash and brow artists were asking for. More control, more flexibility, more confidence across different hair types and modern techniques. A system that considered not only the final result, but the condition of the fibre throughout the entire service. That vision became BRIK & PEARL®.”

A Three-Step Professional System

Step 1: BRIK & PEARL® Bond Flex

Bond Flex is the restructuring step of the system.

Its hybrid dual-reduction technology combines Ammonium Thioglycolate (ATG) and Cysteamine HCl to temporarily modify disulfide bonds within the hair fibre, allowing lashes and brows to be reshaped with controlled precision.

The combination brings together the efficient reducing action of ATG with the flexibility and broader processing control associated with Cysteamine HCl.

Its controlled viscosity supports precise placement across traditional, freestyle, glueless and approved modern Korean-inspired lash lift techniques.

Bond Flex also contains KeraVeg-18, a plant-derived protein and amino acid complex developed for chemically treated hair. Supplier testing has shown an improvement in the strength of chemically treated hair of up to 21%, supporting the condition of the hair during the service.

Step 2: BRIK & PEARL® Bond Lock

Bond Lock is the stabilising and setting step.

Using a hydrogen peroxide-based neutralising system, it supports controlled oxidation and the reformation of disulfide bonds, helping stabilise the hair into its newly created shape.

Together, Bond Flex and Bond Lock give professionals a considered approach to restructuring and setting the hair across a wide range of lash and brow types.

LASH LIFE™ Volume Filler

More than a traditional conditioning treatment, LASH LIFE™ Volume Filler has been created to perform multiple roles throughout the BRIK & PEARL® service.

Its peptide-rich, hydration-focused formula can be used as a Step 1.5 treatment to assist with the removal of residual Step 1 product, support pH rebalancing and prepare the hair for Step 2.

It can also be incorporated into approved Monofusion™ techniques, before returning at the end of the service as a leave-on finishing filler.

The formula combines cosmetic peptides, biomimetic proteins, botanical extracts, humectants and conditioning ingredients, including Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, SH-Oligopeptides, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Trehalose and Glycerin.

As a final leave-on treatment, LASH LIFE™ helps condition, soften and support flexibility while adding instant visible volume to lashes and brows.

Together, the three products bring the BRIK & PEARL® treatment philosophy to life:

Restructuring. Stabilising. Replenishing.

Clinic Closures Bring Prepaid Treatment Models Into Focus.

aglow has highlighted the importance of how aesthetic clinics and salons manage prepaid client funds, following a few recent clinic closures, with a focus on the arrangements in place for vouchers, packages and credit balances if a business closes. The company said the closures have highlighted a structural risk in parts of the beauty sector, where client money can be used to fund day-to-day operations. In those cases, clients may be left as unsecured creditors if a business closes, while operators can carry growing liabilities on their balance sheets. Two Adelaide clinics on the aglow platform, Jennifer Carly Aesthetic Medicine and Adelphè Wellness, have stepped in to support customers affected by these recent local closures, by honouring vouchers. Karl Margrain, CEO and founder of aglow, said the issue reaches beyond a single business failure. “When client money is used to fund operating cash flow, the risk can fall back on

Glovora’s New App Turns One-Time Clients Into Repeat Business.

Glovora announced the launch of its white-label patient app built for salons, aesthetic, cosmetic, spa and wellness clinics, giving clinic owners a single platform to grow loyalty, retention and predictable revenue. Most salons and clinics still grow the hard way — buying leads, sending emails that go unopened, and hoping clients rebook. Glovora replaces that with an always-on retention engine that lives on the patient’s phone. The only app brings six tools into one: memberships, rewards, automated offers, financing, push-notification deals, in-app retail and treatment sales 24/7, a simple to use client experience, all under the salon or clinic’s own name and branding. The result is fewer one-time visits and more recurring, predictable revenue, without rising ad spend. ‘Salons and Clinics are brilliant at delivering services and treatments, but growth shouldn’t depend on constantly chasing new leads. Glovora turns every visit into the start of a lasting relationship.” said Fabio

Sound Medicine.

The Ancient Wisdom Modern Wellness Is Finally Hearing. By Sam Oraya, Founder of The Day Spa. Long before sound was studied in laboratories, it was understood by the body. Across cultures and centuries, people have gathered in sacred spaces to chant, sing, pray, drum and ring bells. Sound has always been woven into ritual and healing. Our ancestors understood something essential: sound can change the way we feel. I have worked with sound, singing bowls, chimes, voice and other instruments for as long as I can remember. I have also immersed myself in spiritual sound experiences throughout the world, from sacred community and Amerta sound medicine in Bali, to Thai temples, chanting the Reiki precepts in Japan and, more recently, Mexico. Each experience has been different, yet I have repeatedly noticed the same thing: sound can reach places that words and conscious thought sometimes cannot. You do not simply hear
